Responsibility

· Primary responsibility of assessing counter party credit risk for coffee, molasses/liquid products and sugar counter parties globally during monthly annual review process;

· Act as Credit Risk Manager in monitoring, analyzing and securing approval for requested trading limits for global counter parties; work with commercial teams in optimizing credit risk proposals to deliver competitive advantage and mitigate credit and operational risk.

· Weekly exposure reporting across all Business Units, with investigation into any ageing receivables or limit breaches;

· Monitoring and review of exposure under approved country limits, both on a Business Unit and Group level;

· Proactively monitoring the assigned portfolio by tracking the industry / economic / regulatory developments, counter party-related news, and other early warning indicators;

· Develop a detailed understanding of the Group’s in-house software systems, in particular the Counter party Risk System (CPRS);

· Provide support and training in relation to the Group’s credit risk procedures, as well as the CPRS system;

· Ad-hoc work on firm wide projects around new processes or activities;

· Ongoing liaison with colleagues globally across all commodities, as well as external stakeholders where necessary;

· Represent risk in Risk Committee meetings with the commercial team and in presentations to external stakeholders; 

Profile Required

· 5 years’ experience in a risk management “function “/ strong credit risk analyst experience 

· Bachelor’s Degree required with a focus in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics preferred
– MBA or professional certification preferred

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Strong financial analytical skills and understanding of accounting, legal, and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors

· Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to assess credit terms and conditions, including financial covenants

· Ability to organize time and manage deliverables to meet stringent market deadlines

· Ability to work in a team environment and coordinating with various stakeholders, such as front office traders, finance, logistics and clients spread across different time zone
