Senior Accountant

Job Summary:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various financial activities to
ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will play a critical role in maintaining financial
records, preparing financial reports, and supporting financial decision-making processes. This

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income
   statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely financial
   information to senior management.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term
   financial forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budget, and providing variance
   analysis.
3. General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring
   accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
   functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, customer collections, and
   reconciliation.
5. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including the preparation and
   submission of tax returns and liaising with tax authorities as necessary.
6. Audit Support: Coordinate and provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring
   timely and accurate responses to auditor inquiries.
7. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, trend analysis, and cost analysis to support
   business decision-making and identify areas for cost optimization.
8. Cash Management: Manage cash flow by forecasting cash requirements and optimizing cash
   balances to meet the company’s operational needs.
9. Financial Systems: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and
   software to streamline financial processes.
10. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and
    training to ensure their professional growth and development.
    Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; – Proven experience as a Senior —Accountant in an FMCG or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Tally ERP Software Knowledge is a must.
