Job Title: Web Application Test Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

● Test Planning and Design:

○ Create comprehensive test plans and strategies for web applications.

○ Design effective test cases covering various testing types (functional, UI,

compatibility, performance, security).

○ Identify and prioritize test scenarios based on risk and business impact.

● Test Execution and Automation:

○ Execute manual test cases across different browsers and devices.

○ Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver or

similar tools.

○ Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

● Defect Management:

○ Log and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

○ Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.

○ Verify defect fixes and retest affected areas.

● Web-Specific Testing:

○ Conduct thorough cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.

○ Perform UI testing to ensure visual consistency and user experience.

○ Execute performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize

application speed.

○ Carry out security testing to identify and address vulnerabilities.

● Collaboration and Communication:

○ Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand

requirements and provide feedback.

○ Communicate test results and findings effectively to stakeholders.

○ Participate in Agile development processes and scrum ceremonies.Confidential

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

● 1 – 4 years of experience as a Test Engineer, with a focus on web applications.

● Strong understanding of web application technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP,

REST APIs).

● Experience with manual and automated testing techniques for web applications.

● Experience in microservices architecture based application testing

● Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver or similar automation tools.

● Experience with scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript).

● Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.

● Effective communication and collaboration skills.

● Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

● Experience with security testing tools and techniques.

● Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.

Work Location : Bangalore
